Identify and discuss the steps for “critical success factors” approach?
To link the previous topic regarding with this question, as you can observe from the past discussion we usually identify steps and factors concerning to aim on success. Thus, they were strategically study and define to find advance in each problem, mostly approaches to solution the dilemma is based and observe on real scenario of the real world. Lately from the previous question we were so great in discussing those factors and strategically made a conclusion after end after we plan every step and move we should take. Now, we look forward for the given question that we are headed right now to identify and discuss the steps for critical success factors approach. Before we start we should identify first what is critical, it can be define as important, vital, decisive, significant, serious, determining, and etc. though we had describe it from the word its self critical mean something important or vital to the success factors. And as we look into another angle it could be approach on how you identify and decomposed those important success factor that would lead closer to vision of the company and aim those missions stated. By that mean we could simply stratify those success factors into sub factor to eliminate easily the problem and identify those weaknesses to have a formulation of solution on it.
By outsourcing some of information and definition regarding about critical success factor it would be a bias if only my meaning of critical success factor would be in this page but I would like to recognize some description about critical success factor which I had used for determining and referring my reflection all about. They define CSF as an element of organizational activity which is central to its future success. Critical success factors may change over time, and may include items such as product quality, employee attitudes, manufacturing flexibility, and brand awareness. Any of the aspects of a business that are identified as vital for successful targets to be reached and maintained. Critical success factors are normally identified in such areas as production processes, employee and organization skills, functions, techniques, and technologies. Critical success factors define key areas of performance that are essential for the organization to accomplish its mission. Managers implicitly know and consider these key areas when they set goals and as they direct operational activities and tasks that are important to achieving goals. However, when these key areas of performance are made explicit, they pro-vide a common point of reference for the entire organization. Thus, any activity or initiative that the organization undertakes must ensure consistently high performance in these key areas; otherwise, the organization may not be able to achieve its goals and consequently may fail to accomplish its mission.
In the article I had read they identify and summary the critical success factor into six steps namely:
Step One: Establish your business’s or project’s mission and strategic goals
Step Two: For each strategic goal, ask yourself “what area of business or project activity is essential to achieve this goal?”
To make sure you consider all types of possible Critical Success Factors, Rockart and Bullen presented five key sources of Critical Success Factor
The industry - These factors result from specific industry characteristics. These are the things that the organization must do to remain competitive. There are some CSF common to all companies operating within the same industry. Different industries will have unique, industry-specific Critical Success Factors.
Competitive strategy and industry position - These factors result from the specific competitive strategy chosen by the organization. The way in which the company chooses to position themselves, market themselves, whether they are high volume low cost or low volume high cost producers. The nature of position in the marketplace or the adopted strategy to gain market share gives rise to CSF’s Differing strategies and positions have different CSF’s
Environmental factors - These factors result from macro-environmental influences on an organization. Things like the business climate, the economy, competitors, and technological advancements are included in this category. These relate to environmental factors that are not in the control of the organization but which an organization must consider in developing CSF’s Examples for these are the industry regulation, political development and economic performance of a country, and population trends.
Temporal Factors - These factors result from the organization’s internal forces. Specific barriers, challenges, directions, and influences will determine these CSFs. These relate to short-term situations, often crises. These CSF’s may be important, but are usually short-lived. Practically, with the evolution and integration of markets globally, one could argue that temporal factors are not temporal anymore as they could exist regularly in organizations.
Managerial Position - An individual role may generate CSF’s as performance in a specific manager’s area of responsibility may be deemed critical to the success of an organization. This is important if CSF’s are considered from an individual’s point of view.
Step Three: Evaluate the list of candidate CSFs to find the absolute essential elements for achieving success - these are your Critical Success Factors.
As you identify and evaluate candidate CSFs, you may uncover some new strategic objectives or more detailed objectives. So you may need to define your mission, objectives and CSFs iteratively.
Step Four: Identify how you will monitor and measure each of the CSFs.
Step Five: Communicate your CSFs along with the other important elements of your business or project’s strategy.
Step Six: Keep monitoring and reevaluating your CSFs to ensure you keep moving towards your aims. Indeed, whilst CSFs are sometimes less tangible than measurable goals, it is useful to identify as specifically as possible how you can measure or monitor each one.
Thus, this information I had gathered through my data mining about critical success factor are summarized, though it was quite ambiguous in first place to define what best approaches to identify CSF’s because there are a lot of resources and information about CSF in the internet. But the one I had given in this page identify the most simplest way about critical success factor however there would be much to define about what is critical success factor and there would be lessen if would sum it all but on the other hand CSF identify key areas of activity in which favorable results are absolutely necessary to reach goals. Where areas must be flourishing and aiming for the business success factor that would be critically directed for the success of the organization and it should be constant and carefully plan from the management and team, in addition to every single detailed should be listed and focus for it might be a factor for the success of the company.

My FOSS Perspective

Significantly it made a great impact over me on how Free Open Source Software and Open Standards make way to industry I never realize how much it empower me a lot though I was left over confuse of question regarding with FOSS and open standards but I was held into back with the help of my classmates ideas and taught. Before I was not interested with this course maybe because of ignorance but as I was starting to read articles and research related to FOSS and open standards it made clear on my mind how vital it convey to us, as a student and currently learning more about the face of reality over the world and its major part it play but now I’m retreating my ideas and way looking back before I had started learning about FOSS and open standards it spark like a candle in the dark the idea was flood in my mind on the unimaginable things that could be possible be made by FOSS and with hand over by open standards. Though there are pros and cons regarding with FOSS I had devise in my mind, let’s take first the cons regarding with those issues that had formulated in my head though there would be an openness sources of software that is set by FOSS the problem is that there would be a lot of revise version of regarding to develop software and many could have their own perspective and idea to the software they wanted to update and yet there would be a tendency to have a missed conception on the software and could lead a confusion for the end-user to update it. But the problem also since it is free and open source software there could be a tendency that the system or the software will not be develop well because of the lack of funds, and as being a developer you don’t expect for the end-user or other programmer that would help to develop your software. Lack of funds might have a great impact for cons in FOSS though it needs to start with great introduction when you want your system or software to recognize in the industry because it indeed, if you don’t have a great impact in entering you might have problem in getting the attention of the customer and end-user. Regarding with pros in FOSS it is somehow much weightier over cons because it’s dynamically bold and very accessible and no need some fees in downloading it, it also applies freedom to start the study pertaining this to my career as a student , I could easily comprehend and study codes and information regarding with those software. As the discussion of this course had taken me it moves me over and realizes the important and appreciates more concerning FOSS than proprietary software. And as being as an IT student it realizes me and emphasizes more the importance of FOSS and open standards and uses. Before, I only know the meaning of FOSS as just simple as abbreviating the words but as these lecture brought me into more knowledgeable study it gives me insight and depth my ideas concerning about the purpose of FOSS.
In my own perspective as a regards with free open source software and open standard these would adhere a new innovation of software because it is dynamic, and by sharing individual’s idea it could create a genuine plan corresponding to address the problem that is occurring in our age today. I know that this proprietary company is still evolving and continuing to create a difference that concentrate on their customer or user satisfaction. And these would be a great challenge for the non-profitable open source software to ride the flow regarding the challenge that the competitor is leading on. It is the FOSS thats undergo the competing big company but regardless with FOSS it is so competitive to stand up and face the challenge over the industry is asking. I know FOSS with the specification of open standard could aim the reward; it is slowly penetrating the industry today though we now mostly often use those proprietary software because they are more graphically user friendly interface and a lot of more basic but understanding more the FOSS could give enlightenment to what it offers and benefit it is not only software sharing but it is also an information that allocates now that we standing this information technology era. Furthermore, Because of this information today it is diversely spread across the nation and who owns more information is more powerful for the reason that no one can steal those information you have and no can argue he is much than you and you is much better than them. FOSS with specifications of its open standards could break in the industry and FOSS would be the greatest innovation for software for the coming future because it significantly bold and dynamic and it is not static like mostly proprietary software that we are typically using. Because the fundamental law of FOSS is freedom software for which it offers a lot of varieties to use into, although with also of many programmers and user to imply knowledge with the certain software could make an evolution that we didn’t step before. This would create a milestone for computer software because with help of diversity of end-user to come up with progression of software of what is the customer needs. Regardless to Information Community Technology this sharing of idea and plan with the help of FOSS could easily address the problem that is occurring in our time today to fulfill the needs of consumer. Because it bonds the community of IT to work as one team and share different problem to resolve it as a team. Primarily before FOSS (Free Open Source Software) was not introduced to me before or even I didn’t recognize it impact to society that this thing exists, even though I was an Information Technology student and yet I’m 4th year of my taken course. But it was not necessarily to me before that this openness of software to study because I’m not really in to it although I now it’s not my prerogative wayward earlier than before but it open up my mind about the reality of this Free Open Source Software and significantly learn about it more than I had expected but it was a challenge for me to defy concerning further about this course. Free Open Source Software had open me the gateway to other complicated and challenge world of IT. This brought my intriguing question to fill up individually like a jigsaw puzzle on the board that slowly assembling into picture however it deal me also on the complex side of FOSS but it endure me to pursue and take it up as a challenge, this learning of information regarding with FOSS was adhesively joint the different side of both world proprietary and free. But I was more into proprietary and talking blank about this thing was my interested although maybe it was more into basic and GUI (Graphical Inter face Friendly) to end-user since it spoon feed the user and create people cost a lot of bucks in their pocket not knowing that there is a lot of choice other than those fee software. Going down about this course taken me to other side and intrigue me a question about FOSS and openness it challenge me to comprehend all of those learning but it was easy as A, B and C after all not knowing that I was into the lessons. Questions filled up my mind introductorily basically those simple questions at first like what is FOSS? What is the significant of using it? Why do we need to Use it? Are there standards of using it? And other several questions pop in my mind however as I go on more in depth it realizes me more significantly the usage of FOSS and openness it customize. Week by week as our discussion made far by my fellow classmates and help us adopt the significant it cater to society and knowing it standard of sets and rules it follow. As our sharing had brought us so far those simple question had elaborated more than I had expected as individual share their thoughts and ideas regarding to the question had open it significantly interested me to read and also comprehend the sharing their open up. Though those previously question had yet clarify me one by one it signifies me that this healthy discussion about FOSS was more interesting than I had expected and we go long further every week new ideas and sharing is open for another round of discussion later on I will introduce weekly attributes of division of our lessons and argument. The first we had discuss on the first week of our topic was more about on basic question regarding on FOSS and standards we had shared our ideas and question was release from every individual and every body was participating. Introduction to Open Standard was the main concept of the first week and first topic and it was decomposed into several folders of questions and arguments. The first thing that draws to my attention in the first topic was regarding to standards and sets of open source software. We define first the meaning of standards to heat up our own discussion regardless with this open source software, sharing was on the air and different ideas about standard was post and I, myself also define standard as a set of specification that measures the common attribute of all industry is preferred to use. It must be recognized by some organization like IEEE, IETF, W3C, ISO and other private or public organization that conducts a study or set of the requirements regarding with standards. In this age today this standard is very important because we are living in this fast changing world with everything is instant and to measure the quality of the specification of the product that it release, it needs to have a set of standards that is beneficiary to all and without stepping beyond it limitations. This will ensure user to have a sufficient and have trust to the quality of the product they bought and this will also be significant to other infrastructure both small and big enterprises to have confidence with their product that they are selling. The sequel for this topic was introduced for the opening of what is the meaning Open Standard? It brought up some intriguing question regarding with standards though many articles and research I had read about it they define that it as non formal meaning of open standard though I was used to it because of mostly cases of problem I encountered it specify more on the issues on what is standard more all about like also defining standards but what is openness? This is regard with general things that is usually done or common to all. And a set of discoursing regarding with Introduction about Open Standards was held to into every individual and healthy discussion was made for all us. To sum it all my learning with the first topic of the week was the introductory part and it was a big leap for me to know the important behind sine of this course I had learned many information regarding with Free Open Source Software and a set of Standards and the important of using it because as part of this new generation today where change is constant it is necessarily to everyone to adopt the trend that had been milestone for every year and this deals with many various things like software and other technology innovations now a days that are released. At the end of the week many ideas had stock in my mind and this brought me rewarding for end of the week that the benefits for this open source of standard that it caters offers a significant innovation for today generations. It would be better to customized and look differently to the world that we are moving and looking forward to these free open source of software might look better if we could understand it better than grasping those proprietary software that is existing today. I know they offer best solution but it would be better if you could save money in your pocket and the thing that there is a lot best solution than that proprietary software is offering. The next chapter that we had discussed and take some time of argument after all the introductory part of Open Source Standard was importance and benefits that serves. Though I had discuss earlier the importance of Open Source Standards and software the examples for this importance of standard is that when upgrading it like computer hardware and software and other networking device and everything that it implies to, it must be standard and open to all that is common to both sides because of unachievable computer platforms and specs needed for specification of a upgrading it there would be a lot of distortion and negative feedback about the company and preventing this should have an organize standard for all. But what is really the important of having a FOSS? For me not only you can access it free but the software itself is dynamic from itself. And requirement of specification of company needs or vendor can easily meet because of it’s specification that is content. Apparently one of the decompose topic that had open on our discussion was the purpose and principles of Free Open Source Software should meet, my co-classmate had discuss and intrigue every individual to share their idea about the principle of Free Open Source Software must undergo to. They had share their idea and taught regarding with the question that is rises in the air and they had shown also their resources of information they gather. Majority of all had the same answer but had a different overview and some had discourse it. And this are principle that was rise in our discussion first was the availability, maximize end-user, no royalty, no discrimination, extension of subset and predatory practices these was the most majority of their share and taught though it had been so many in the internet resource that this information is all about but the significant was of all was the sharing of discussion that had raise over subtopic. Availability was the first thing had introduce the availability of certain product or software today take place because of those rising proprietary company now a day made a great impact and it had been a long way since industry had come over man kind. This availability was of Free and Open source software would be a great innovation and this might change shift for the next year coming that would take place those proprietary costly software to nominal charge for software. The second is it to maximize its end-user though it is the problem of mostly all Open Source software today because majority of all computer users today uses proprietary software and breaking into it should have a great impact to the end-user. To maximize end-user is the mostly aim of every developer to its system or program. But before it all must follow the standards and specification and requirement that are accepted by the organization, people, and industry. No royalty takes shift over the principle of open source software because everything must be equal and royalty or upper hierarchy must be demolished because in this competition there should be equal for both competitors for healthy competition. Discrimination is illegal because for every individual has a right for developing his/her idea and software and discriminating is unacceptable for principle of open source software should be openness. Lastly extension of subset and predatory practices, these perform would give way to everything and evolution itself and make way to innovations of technology and software because of competition it cater to product because everything evolves and starts from competition like in a world war it started all modernization of technology and tech in wars and competition was one of the cause of those effect. These principles follow a lot of major important and purpose for open source software for not only it implies for software values only but the for all company that is producing and product and everything under the sun follow philosophy of standards. But what should be role of Open standard in propagating FOSS? Actually I’ve been talking a lot about FOSS and not dealing with distinguishing both parties to look much more conveniently free open source software is only a open source software that is addressing to software to both all user or any people who want to study or improve certain software under open source because in FOSS you can generate and make up your own customized version of software with regards to what had the software had started but in a different way to open standard it operates because free open source software follow the specification needed for open standard requirement for functionality and availability that is why it also follow the principle of process of open source software the availability, it should be available both sides and parties. Open standards influence a great effect to Free Open Source Software because in most discussion and sharing we had discuss I learned that the open source software is also promoting not only for free open source software but also to the open standards it follows principle like Free open source software is the body and the shadow is the open standard. As far as the topic had been open and discusses every week I learned and noticed how this proprietary and free open source software is competing with each other and in order for the free open source software to flow within the competition of both world takes a standards to stand for both parties and this is a challenge for free open source software today because in this age today majority of the people uses proprietary or non-FOSS like mostly café that is using Microsoft Word and OS. It would be a great challenge for free open software to break in this era and order for non-profit open source software to make shift in the industry though it had been way since time had pass I know FOSS had already make shift today but to discuss of what I had learned in the discussion is that FOSS must compete more for interoperability and compatibility of platforms and software. Example for this age today is the OpenOffice.org word was acquired by Sun Microsystems that has been competing over Microsoft Word over the year. It adhere that open source software are now slowly influencing micro establishment and businesses. Though it’s not only free open source software but its competing platform was the same as the Microsoft develops its Microsoft Word. It’s proven widely that open source software could break in the walls over proprietary companies and this had not been the issue today because long ago LINUX break in already in the world of Information Technology and Software. As far our discussion had went on we had tackled about more on those organization standards and sets though its quite confusing sometimes but it had clear me until the end of every week because with the help of my classmates. My generalization about the discussion that we had tackled and discuss throughout the semester was the important role of Free Open Source Software in campaigning the open standard. Majority some of the discourse topic was preferably concern more about the comparison of proprietary software and standards versus the open source software, to look into the eagle’s eye for the whole topic for where it is heading, that the importance of open source software was the sharing of idea and the multiple end-user could contribute the idea for upgrading and improving version for the software though in most cases over the proprietary was that it couldn’t be customized into your own decision. There are a lot of pros and cons regarding with both sides but using its standards can bridge both the same world however it depends on the user whether what kind of certain software would he used. But in contrast to what I had stated it would be better if you could look deep into free open source software to what it caters so you could appreciate more the FOSS. I would preferably endure the Free Open Source Software now as part of my goal and plan someday it enlighten me how wonderful and amazing on how this software is working while it is also file sharing to other as a part of contribution of study and information. It would be better to work with many end-users than to work by yourself alone. In summary of all, thus FOSS is significantly play more customized than proprietary software even though it’s not yet embrace by many people but as we move along to in this generation we could easily embrace these evolutions for FOSS may play great innovations for future trends of studies and research. Rights and patents had also been discussed in this year of semester but as we move along with our days this right, patents and authority had owned by others and usually government and political sides may also contribute in part of it. FOSS is already here and this freedom and open source of software will slowly dominate the information age as what the technology had impact over mankind.

Relate significant events in society to innovations in technology?
Time is so fast that even people can’t grasp, majority of the cases that has been reported was negative though many positives events had played significant for big bosses and upper classes this was the fact that the people on the higher stage are the most dominant for the positive changes. Though they always lead for trends and cycle in life they also control mostly the lower class and even middle section and when things goes upside down and crises is on its ways the people on the lower range are the most affected in every situation. Though I’m not really anti-social with higher class but in the case as people leaving in this country, were you can’t hardly seen the difference between middle range and lower class. I know this is not new anymore here in the nation of Philippines but I ask one big question, are we contented with this life that we are tasting right now? Or are we really so lazy to even move and act for the progress of our life and our country? Can every individual like I, could contribute a big factor of change of this life? The only answer for this uttered question lies on us this would be positive if we have a plan in our lives to vision a dream and mission to accomplish and goals to be move. The answer will always be ‘YES’ and we could make shift around starting within us for because every struggle we encounter if we only know how to strive and perceive to achieve our dreams this would be easy as A, B, and C.
But what is the significant of this story for the events in society to my innovations in technology, you could picture out right now this levels and divisions of people in our society classifies it three stages namely the upper class, the middle range, and the lower class they play a crucial role in the nation because they are the key factor which this nation exist. However, as we can see in the Television today how negative issues had dominated over the positive things in our environment this days. And as you could perceive now a day how media deliver issues to its televiewer, you could notice how incident on crimes in the street and even in private management and houses had increase and if crime rates is increasing this only means that the nation is on crisis. But would this be a measurement for the crises that the nation is dealing with? Maybe yes, because it only show how people badly need money for their needs. Enough of does ado lets back to main topic for this question, the point of my discussion is that to have a reflection in our society on how it affects because we always advance our mind for the happenings in our life and those little cases we missed is mostly the most important part in and plays a significant to society. We always see in our world today how technology rises from metals to machine, wires to wireless, and chips to memory this cases is a issue and in order for us to relate significant events in society to the innovation of technology that I will be discussing later on lets try to make things slow and recall for those events that had passed us and to consume the present that involve us and think for the future that we are heading. But what was those significant events that we had encounter over the years? Lets take back some time, lets go back to the past were the most significant was shared over the history of mankind was war. War is the most great significant event that human had contributed the past and through those wars that involve over the history it open the gate to evolution and set a milestone for mankind and this made life more complex than before. Complex, in a sense that things are not on the same manner as they are before but more simple than ever because of the innovations of technology today. War was the main reason for this evolutionary change. Significantly the whole world was change because of those tremendous war but in fact that these was not the case right now here in Philippines because here in our nation right now places in Mindanao are great war zone for Filipino versus Filipino. But my question is in the end of this war, would there be changes or innovation of life and technology would progress after this long end of suffering because many of our countrymen are just wasting they’re lives for nonsense of fights and wars, Is there a pleasure in war? So my significant of innovation that I would contribute in a part of technology is would concern with this people who involve in this suffering in war those aftermath people who are in the middle of those fightings and not only with those people but also to lessen the burden that is occupying in our lives today and to make some resolution for this plague. First on foremost the epicenter for this innovation is here on Philippine to start a new ground and establish our own insight of technology. Though I know there is nothing I can do to stop those unending wars and its so nonsense for me to innovate a destructive weapon but I would contribute more in behalf of those people who are casualties of wars on how they would start they’re new lives. To start with nothing is so hard with traumas inside they’re mind is a scar they would carry along they’re lives. With this sense they bare nothing but tragedies I would innovate to pursue a technology that would some how they could easily recover with the things they had lost specially with they’re livelihood a technology that would easily propagate a vegetable that and even hogs and poultry could also be beneficiary for these technology a light wave that emits a radiation that would help plants to propagate faster than before, and this would not need a pesticide anymore that is harmful to human when digesting, it is pure natural. With hog and poultry also that is having a diseases like Ebola virus and bird flu and other diseases occurring to hogs and poultry this would cure them and preventing animals to have a diseases. Its like a similar sunlight ray that is emitting but it also has its radiation that is good for the plant and animals like hogs and poultry. You might think that this technology might cost but in fact this would not be someday because it only needs a sunlight and a battery to run. This intended for those people who lived in rural areas and those people who want to start with low cost of expense with their pocket all you need is a space in your garden and isolate it. This would have great affect for those who are lower class because it could be their starting point to a better life. Change is on fast phase now a day and what motivates me to have an idea like this is its not only really regarding to people sake but I’m also concern with our environment and atmosphere today because we are now experiencing global warming and with innovation of mine would lessen the pollution and could contribute to help mother nature in his struggle of pollution.

Discuss the purpose of IS planning and identify its major challenges?
To start with this written answer, to be truth is that I don’t really know the purpose of IS planning. And yet with research and scans of paper I’ve read many articles and books regarding to this question. I’m confused with several questions in my mind and wonder how this plan works and process because of so many resources I’ve read. Though several unanswered question had left behind my mind and this lead me to clarity to answer this given question. The methodology I would use in answering this question is handed on the process of what I had understood regarding with this question. To know first the meaning of IS planning to uncover the significance and clarification of what lies behind IS and its process as well as the participation with the company, though its only part of my method in answering this but the key to this problem is the reflection that I will share later on.
First of all what is an IS? According to wikipedia.org “The term information system (IS) sometimes refers to a system of persons, data records and activities that process the data and information in an organization, and it includes the organization’s manual and automated processes.” As you could grasp from the wikipedia it stated that is involves systems of persons, data records and activities you could notice how IS influence the company from of its work. And when the IS process the plan for the company it generate not only the upper system of the company but involves from head to foot of the company that would play a major role in the plan and every angle should be observe. I’m not yet started with the answer for this question but I’m on the process of giving clarification of what is IS planning is all about. As you can notice how IS draw its part in the company on the important role it plays in controlling the system and flow of the information to utilize it for maximization profit and success for the company.
Information System is a set of people,procedures, and resources that collects, transforms, and disseminates information in an organization. A system that accepts data resources as inputs and processes them into information products as outputs. Information system planning plays a fundamental role in the business. It support the business process and operations. It also supports the decision making by its employees and managers. Lastly it support the company strategies for competitive advantage. Thus, Strategic information systems can help provide and service that give a business a comparative advantage over its competitors.
Yesterday was a great history and future will be a big mystery, what had happened in the past is now a part for the present to plan that lies ahead. IS (Information System) team usually looking all problems on critical angle because one single system problem might cause a domino effect to other sub-system. Planning the future must involve everything under the sun and the sun itself though you can predict what would happened, but it must also anticipate what are the hindrances that the road you are taking. As what had happened in our past technology presentation on our subject Future Technology, which we didn’t anticipated the possibilities of problem. That we need to canceled the presentation and retreat for the next year to come for presentation of our dioramas in our past technology. Though it’s so sad, that this event had happened and it’s really disappointing that we need to wait another time for our presentation because we had already set our time in the range of time frame but hopefully with great heart our beloved professor had given us a chance. In line with the reflection I’d share to discussion of the question that is focusing the purpose of IS planning, is to have a timely characteristic that would plan ahead of time and planning need not to be long enough, so in the process time it would have much more time to work out of what the plan is aiming. Time is gold and they say once it tick it wouldn’t tick the time again. Next is useable, Information System plays a big role in corporate or in company because it holds the company state whether it incline or decline though it is only a tool for the company to use the IS that holds the company to be stable and IS plays a big role from input to output product of the company and its system. Company might have a big system and a multiple sub-system in each division, different fields assigns different system and task. To control the flow within the system is really a big and a complex task to an IS because it wouldn’t be timely if this thing would crash down like a domino so useable characteristic plays a part in this discussion. Useable in a sense that the system is centralized to all the project or system, it would eliminate some of the problem in the company. And if it is useable and centralized it would be easy to implement the project on the other sub-system of the company because it is easy to maintain and that would be the third characteristic that I would like to introduce. Maintainable this would cater many different strength of the company one’s it is centralized it would be easy maintain and maintainable must be done quick and fast so if errors or problem occur it would easily debug so it is very important to have oneness in the company. And what is the sense of making an IS plan if the plan is not maintainable it is like making trash to a paper bin. The fourth part that I would identify the major challenge in dealing with ISP is the Quality. We as IT professional we should criticized the quality of the plan as one of the factors that can help to produce a better IS planning. So much more, the fact that this would lays the companies attributes on systems flows and success. It also implies every strategical way that could be a basis for the quality of the company. With this quality factor the decision and every plan for the entire system would surely have a greater chance in dealing and resolving problems in the company. Lastly, to complete the cycle of this challenges that IS planning should have would be the Reproducible. Through with this characteristic, the people involve in IS planning were getting to a point of having the same and one yet very essential plan.
In summary, successful management of information system planning and major challenges of business managers and professional. Thus, the information system function a major functional area of business that is as important to business success as the function of operations management and marketing. An important contributer to operational efficiency employee productivity and customer service and satisfaction. Finally a major source of information and support needed to promote effective decision making by the company managers and executives.
